The Direction Finder program is designed to assist young persons and adults who are seeking a basic direction in their search for meaningful work. If you have fundamental vocational questions, this program can be helpful. It is a concise, half-day program geared to assist you to determine what career direction will most likely fit with who you are as a person.
Direction Finder deals with basic building blocks in making a career choice, including identification of personality strengths and preferences, occupational interests, skills and abilities. It takes into account personal qualities, values and aspirations of the individual as well as objective data from the inventories utilized in the program.
During your time at the Center, your counselor will help you look at yourself in relation to the world of work. Since the Center is not an employment agency, your program will focus on career identification rather than job search.
